Lillian Russell 1861-1922

Named after Victorian starlet and Saratoga resident Lillian Russell, Lillian’s Restaurant has been a Saratoga tradition since it opened in January of 1974.We specialize in a quality ingredients and courteous service. Our extensive menu includes succulent steaks, fresh seafood, pasta and vegetarian dishes.

Lillian’s offers a variety of dining spaces including a spacious Victorian dining room and summer patio overlooking the city’s famous Broadway. For a cozier dining experience or a private gathering you’ll want to consider our intimate fireplace room. Our classically styled oak bar is a great spot to share drinks while watching a game or a recap of the day’s horse racing.

For a birds-eye view of the city, head upstairs to the Diamond Jim Brady Room accommodating up to 175 guests. We take great pride in hosting your rehearsal dinners, showers, anniversary parties, wedding receptions or business functions.


Lillian Russell

Lillian Russell, billed as the English Ballad Singer, made her first appearance on Broadway in 1880. By 1891, this beautiful & talented woman was the star of Lillian Russell Opera Company. Retiring from the stage in 1921, Ms. Russell continued her public life by selling World War I Bonds & recruiting for the U.S. Marine Corps. Besides her stage life, Lillian is also remembered for her summers in Saratoga Springs, with the flamboyant Diamond Jim Brady.
